Terminal 21 Bangkok – A Travel Diary
Arrival: Welcome to the World Under One Roof
Stepping into Terminal 21 Bangkok felt like entering a global time warp. Located in the heart of Sukhumvit, this iconic mall is famous for its airport-themed design and floors representing different cities. From the moment I walked in, the giant airplane propeller and departure board-style directory set the tone for an adventure.
Floor-by-Floor Exploration
LG Floor: Caribbean – Sweet Beginnings
I started at the basement level, designed like a tropical Caribbean port. The highlight? Pier 21 Food Court—a budget-friendly paradise! For under 100 THB, I devoured pad thai, mango sticky rice, and a refreshing coconut ice cream. The vibe was casual, bustling, and authentically Thai.

G Floor: Rome – Luxury & People-Watching
The ground floor mimicked Rome with faux marble statues and arches. High-end brands like Charles & Keith and NaRaYa caught my eye, but I was content sipping an iced matcha latte from a café while watching shoppers pass by.
1F-2F: Tokyo & Paris – Fashion Frenzy
Tokyo’s floor (1F) was a neon-lit dream, packed with Japanese-inspired boutiques and quirky accessories. Meanwhile, Paris (2F) oozed chic with its faux Eiffel Tower and boutique stores. I couldn’t resist buying a funky sushi-shaped keychain from a Daiso-like shop!
3F: London – Quirky Finds
Red telephone booths, Big Ben murals, and British-themed decor made this floor a photo op haven. I stumbled upon T21’s famous “Toilet Café” (yes, it’s toilet-themed!) but opted for a quick snack at a British-style bakery instead.

4F-5F: Istanbul & San Francisco – Tech & Cinema
Istanbul’s floor (4F) had mosaic lamps and Turkish-style shops, but I breezed through to reach San Francisco (5F). The Golden Gate Bridge replica was impressive, and the cinema here was tempting—next time!
6F: Hollywood – Rooftop Surprise
The top floor transformed into old Hollywood, complete with a mini theater and a food market with a view. I ended my visit here, enjoying the sunset over Bangkok with a cold Singha beer in hand.
Final Thoughts
Terminal 21 isn’t just a mall—it’s a whimsical, Instagrammable, and affordable experience. Whether you’re food-hopping at Pier 21, shopping for souvenirs, or just soaking in the themed floors, it’s a must-visit in Bangkok.
